SEARSPORT — Max Provencher, a senior at Searsport District High School, has been elected to serve as national treasurer for the Future Business Leaders of America for the 2021-22 school year.

He currently serves as chapter president and founding member of Searsport FBLA, vice president of Maine FBLA, and sponsorship director for the National Treasurer’s Council. Max is an avid investor in stocks and bonds, and works hard to promote financial literacy in schools as a member of the Maine DOE Student Cabinet.

FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences. FBLA focuses this initiative through leadership development, academic competition, educational programs, and community service.
