CASTINE — The following area graduates of Maine Maritime Academy won awards honoring their achievements:
Dylan Bunker of Bucksport, American Maritime Officers Service, and Mackenzie Philbrick of Searsport, the MMA Core Value Award and the Maine Maritime Academy Student Citizenship Award.
UNH announces dean’s list honorees
DURHAM, N.H. — The following students have been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for the spring 2021 semester:
Emily Morse of Lincolnville, highest honors; Griffin Nye of Belfast, highest honors; and Logan McHaney of Belfast, high honors
Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 GPA are awarded high honors.
Prospect man makes dean’s list at WPI
WORCESTER, Mass. — Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced that Johann Bradley of Prospect, a member of the class of 2021 majoring in industrial engineering, was named to the university’s dean’s list for academic excellence for the spring 2021 semester.
WPI defines its dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
Snowdeal graduates from Springfield College
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Ian Snowdeal of Belfast has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication/sport journalism from Springfield College for studies completed in 2021.
Bilodeau graduates from Ithaca College
ITHACA, N.Y. — Tyler Bilodeau of Northport has graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in integrated marketing communication.
USM announces dean’s list
PORTLAND — The following area students have earned GPAs of 3.6 or better to be named to the dean’s list at the University of Southern Maine:
Hannah Banks and Mackenzie Banks of Belfast; John Emery, Aaron Kircheis and Robin Davis of Bucksport; Emma Hallundbaek of Lincolnville; Cora Gavett of Palermo; Briahna Loring of Searsmont; Zoe Baldwin of Searsport; and Connor Mayhew of Unity.
Local man to attend Clarkson University
POTSDAM, N.Y. — Eric Andrews of Lincolnville Center will attend Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., as a member of the class of 2025. Andrews, who will be majoring in mechanical engineering, will begin studying at Clarkson in the fall.
Burnham woman named to Emerson dean’s list
BOSTON, Mass. — Allison Hughes of Burnham has been named to Emerson College’s dean’s list for the spring semester. Hughes is majoring in creative writing, working a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and is a member of the class of 2022. The requirement to make Emerson’s dean’s list is a GPA of 3.7 or higher.
