BROOKS — Clifford L. Elwell, 78, also of Keystone Heights, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at home after a brief illness, with his wife by his side.
He was born Feb. 25, 1943, in Monroe to Laurence Elwell and Elsie (Maddocks) Elwell.
He grew up in Swanville and attended local schools. He was married to Mary (Danchunk) Elwell for 25 years.
Clifford spent most of his years working with animals on a farm and in his younger days at poultry plants.
Clifford was known by many in the community for his outgoing personality and always being able to put a smile on people’s faces.
Clifford was predeceased by his sons Eldon Doughty and Randy Elwell, his siblings Lorene Bernosky, Ardith Millay, Gloria Millett and twin sister Carol Clark. He is survived by his children, Clifford Elwell Jr., Sherry Saucier, Shelly Brown, Wendy Hamel, Virginia Doughty and Kasi Anderson; his siblings, Arla Hall, Dorothy Elwell, Lois Elwell, Donnie Richards and David Elwell; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life in September; details will be announced at a later date.
