THORNDIKE — Following a COVID-19 outbreak at Mount View High School, there have been a handful of athletic changes made for early-season events involving the Mustangs.
On Saturday, Sept. 4, the home football game versus Stearns of Millinocket and boys soccer match at Lawrence of Fairfield have been postponed.
Additionally, the home field hockey game against Orono on Wednesday, Sept. 1 and home girls soccer match on Friday, Sept. 3 against Lawrence remain on as scheduled, though there will be no junior varsity contests played those days.
In a letter to staff, students and parents on Monday, Aug. 30, Regional School Unit 3 Superintendent Charles Brown said three people associated with the high school recently tested positive for the illness. To read more about that, click here.
