Hello Everyone,

I am happy our road got another layer of tar this week. It sure is good to see. Now I hope the rest of the roads get finished.

Somehow I got into the hairs from a caterpillar as my hands are rashy and itchy. Must have been from near the bird feeder or the plants. Always something. Thought the hairs wouldn’t bother much now. The darn things are still around.

Sports season

Mount View High School Football is in full swing now. Good luck to all!!

Lavender farm

Heidi and Pollyanna Sorensen have a farm that has all kinds of lavender growing with beautiful bouquets for free right now. With the Common Ground Fair canceled, they have an ample supply. Heidi didn’t want to put it in the compost pile when she trimmed it in October, so wanted to give it away. So grab some pretty lavender. They have at the farm stand dried branches, lotions, soap, and mist as well as some nice pottery pieces for sale. Check it out.

A reminder

Remember, as long as you are breathing, it’s never too late to start a new beginning.

Hope for Hasti

The British soldier was entering Portsmouth, New Hampshire, today, I saw posted on his Facebook site. He has walked quite a ways so far of his 1,200-mile journey. He hopes to raise money to help his young daughter with her disease, Cornelia de Lange syndrome. To donate, go to It was great to know he walked through our town, too.

Clinic canceled

The rabies clinic for dogs and cats on Oct.16 at Brooks Fire Station has been canceled because of COVID cases.

The Wayne Doughty family and other family are in Virginia for the wedding of Lauren Proulx and Jackson Miller.

Until next week,

Be safe, stay warm. The temps will be lower now as autumn is soon upon us. Happy fall.
