A thank you to all who participated in the 20th anniversary of 9/11 events in Unity on Sept. 11. To the Post 50 Legion family, thanks also.

The Legion has raffle tickets available for the Hunter’s Supper Raffle at this time that will be held at the Hall in November.

Book release coming soon

Kerry Parker, who is an educator at Aveda Institure Maine, will be releasing her book, “Connected” very soon, she says.

Sept.17th

Today is Constitution Day and commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. Also POW/MIA Day as 82,000 Americans remain missing from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Gulf War and other conflicts. Today, National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by these men and women. Never forget them.

Belated birthday

A happy belated birthday to cousin Dee Dee Doughty, I hope you had a great day. You are appreciated by me for all you do. Dee loves family histories, and cemetery trips.

Until next week,

Get out and go apple picking. Enjoy the veggies from the farm stands, or your own you grew. My plants are most done now. Be safe. And I hope you avoid the COVID virus. Get well to Brian Warman who is now in rehab. Gabe, Reese and Betsey were recently visiting here. Thanks Rita and Wayne for your visit.
