BLUE HILL — A trio of Searsport runners competed in the George Stevens Aacdemy-hosted high school cross-country meet on Friday, Sept. 17 at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds.

On the 2.9-mile course, GSA’s Thea Crowley finished first among 36 girls in 17:45.86, while in the 54-runner boys field, Mount Desert Island’s Sam York was first at 15:54.87.

For the Searsport girls, Bella Campbell finished 28th in 29:00, Emma Gaecklin 29th in 29:11.04 and SariJo Richeson 33rd in 33:08.69.

No Viking boys participated in the meet.

The girls team scores were: Mount Desert Island 20, George Stevens Academy 43 and Searsport, Sumner of Sullivan, Ellsworth, Bucksport no score.

The boys team scores were: George Stevens Academy 36, Mount Desert Island 42, Bucksport 76, Ellsworth 95 and Sumner 130.
