BELFAST — Bonita Ruth Hall, 77 years of age, was born July 18, 1944.  She passed in the early hours of Sept. 19, 2021.  She went unexpectedly, swiftly and without pain.

Bonnie lived in Belfast with her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles L. Hall.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Charles; and her four siblings, Jim, Tom, Blythe and Sally.  She leaves four children, Andrea, Craig,  Scott and Deborah; her eight grandchildren, Matilda, Colter, Miliana, Casey, Alyssa, Derek, Deven, Mya; and her great-grandchild, Gianna.

Bonnie was a woman with a huge heart, deep faith and fierce love.  She cared about her family more than anything. Whether you were right or wrong, she always took your side.  She always found a way to support her family.

She loved to laugh, cook, bake and feed people delicious food.  Large family gatherings were her favorite.  She was always composing her next meal plan shopping list for the approaching holiday; however, her favorite time of all was Christmas.  Her house at this time looked like a page out of a storybook, decorated with lights, precious family heirlooms, cookies of every kind and ribbon candy (her favorite).

Home was certainly where her heart was.

Bonnie and Chuck moved from Deerfield, Mass., to Belfast in 2017.  Charles built their retirement carriage house across the street from his childhood home on Belfast Harbor. Bonnie loved to watch the boats and seagulls in the water.  She was happy to face the sun on her porch overlooking the sea with her best friend, Charles, laughing.

She will be missed by the many who loved her.  Her children will carry on the traditions of love and family that she exemplified.

Services for Bonnie will be held in Belfast Sunday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Farmers Market Building.

Condolences may be sent to 17 Jackson Ave., Belfast, ME 04915.
