CAMDEN — Elizabeth “Betsy” Tutein passed away peacefully, with family by her side at Quarry Hill, Aug. 18, 2021.

She is now in a better place, enjoying some of her favorite things; sitting in a chair on a sunny porch with her dog, enjoying a glass of wine and laughing with her wonderful family.

Betsy was born in Philadelphia, Penn., in 1934 to Martha and Milton Davis. She grew up in a loving family and had a strong, lifelong bond with her sisters, Sandra and Marge, and her brother, Dave.

Anyone who met Betsy knows that she was always kind, very artistic, and loved to laugh almost as much as she loved animals. Betsy spent her summers with her siblings and parents and later her own children, in Bayside, where she made countless friendships and memories.

Many of her best memories were the warm, sunny days spent sailing on or swimming in Penobscot Bay, followed by evenings with the family on the cottage porch, waving to friends and neighbors as they passed by.

Betsy was also a passionate artist, who used watercolors to beautifully capture her favorite scenes of nature, including birds, flowers, the ocean and of course, her dog Angel.

Betsy’s loving spirit will live on through many great memories and through the family she leaves behind, including Beth Tutein and her husband Julion Peacock, Carolyn Tutein, Linda and Greg Holt, grandchildren Drew and Julia Holt, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In Betsy’s memory, laugh with your family and friends, pat your dog and enjoy the sunset with a smile, knowing she’s at peace.
