I had a very nice gazebo visit with Richard and Evelyn one afternoon last week. They walked over, as it was a beautiful day. They have headed back to Iowa, now.  Have a safe trip back and enjoy your winter in California.

The Thorndike Town Office has new hours and they are Monday, Tuesday and  Friday,  8 a.m. to noon, and Wednesday, noon to 6 p.m.

Harvest Day was a resounding success and they had lots of positive comments from the attendees.  They are planning on an even bigger and better event next year.

Papa Dixon visited with Dustin one day recently and they had a great time in the gazebo, at least the laughter sounded that way.

The Thorndike Park and Recreation Committee is teaming up with the Masonic Lodge and working on putting a new slide in the Marie Gloh Park. There will be a cleanup day soon, stay tuned.

Dustin is looking forward to Terry Clark’s Country Gold on 93.5 FM, with Randy Travis as co-host on Saturday night. It is on from 6 to 10 p.m. every Saturday night.

Drew’s Hard Knox ATV Track has rescheduled its firs-ever Pit Bike Race to Sunday, Oct. 3, with signups at 8:30 a.m. For more information, check out the Facebook page and on there you will find all the rules and regulations along with a list of trophies and prizes. Good luck to all.

Merrily has been at Farmington Fair this week with some of the calves, as Kelsey is in 4-H and shows a couple of times at each fair. A good experience for Kelsey.

Pete Seeger is quoted as saying, “The easiest way to avoid wrong notes is to never open your mouth and sing. What a mistake that would be.”
