SEARSPORT — On Thursday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m. on Zoom, Penobscot Marine Museum presents Hemp and American Maritime History with historian Peter Friesen. The program is free, with a suggested admission fee of $5. Visit tiny.one/Oct2021 to reserve tickets.
Hemp has played a vital role in our history, including maritime history. It was a part of daily life until the mid-20th century. This progam will explore the history of Cannabis Sativa as an agricultural and industrial product, as well as understanding the difference in the types of cannabis such as marijuana.
