BELFAST — Michael William Reynolds, age 54, passed away unexpectedly at home Oct. 16, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones and his big dog, Baretta, by his side.

Michael was born Sept. 15, 1967, to William Dunton Reynolds Jr. and Mary Pauline (Hall) Reynolds. He grew up in Belfast.

He spent many years as a carpenter and was an avid golfer.  He spent his free time working on his cars and was passionate about his speaker system. His children were everything to him and he loved all of his family and friends dearly. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Michael was predeceased by his father, William, paternal grandparents William Sr. and Elizabeth (Jacob) Reynolds, maternal grandparents Maynard and Muriel (Degrasse) Hall and his uncle Stephen Hall.

He is survived by his children, Paul David, Michelle Alysia and Michael Allen, and their mother, Wendy Hamel; his daughter Kristina Nicole and her husband, Stephen Grima.

Also surviving is his mother, Mary; sister Cheryl Briggs; nieces Ashley and Carli Briggs and their significant others, Mike and Trevor.  A very special only grandchild, Sebastian Mortimer, who loved his “Pup” very much. His best friends, Glenn Fuller and Michael Redding; and his girlfriend, Jennifer Fisk.

Surviving family also includes his uncles Bernie, John and George Hall, as well as his Aunt Rebecca Reynolds and many, many more family members and friends.

Michael will always be remembered as “Spin-Cycle Michael” or “Spinny.” We will also remember him for his goofy smirk and his contagious laugh. He will be missed by so many and our family will never be whole without him.

Visiting hours will be at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave.,  Saturday, Oct. 23, from noon to 2 p.m.  To follow will be a celebration of life at 1 Poors Mills Road in Belfast.  All family and friends are welcome to come celebrate the life of our beloved Michael.

A GoFundMe account is set up to help his children pay for his funeral expenses.  Any donations can be made there and will be greatly appreciated.
