BELFAST — Neil Barry Kaber passed away in his sleep July 18, 2021, from cancer. He was 72.

Neil was born in 1948 in Newport, R.I., to Seymour and Ida Kaber. He married Judy Firth in 1968 and they moved to Maine, where they were together for 13 years and had two sons. After his divorce, he moved to Florida, where he joined Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment, later moving to Washington tate, eventually settling down in Yelm.

Throughout his life he was a musician, playing trombone or recorder in several bands, and a tinkerer and inventor, always taking things apart, building new things and pushing the limits of physics. He was also always on a motorcycle, and then later in life, a bicycle, which he would ride daily. He loved to teach, had an infectious laugh, was always quick with a joke, and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his two sons, Tevye and Moses; his two grandchildren, Ronin and Dax; and his brother and sister, Hamid and Anna.
