Hello All,

We are still in the fall days, and having low temps, but no snow yet. The sun is shining brightly and am thankful for that. I hope everyone is doing all right, too.

Deer hunting season

Jayden Nickerson bagged a 10-point buck weighing 160 pounds. Good for him! Also I see that Damien Doughty got a 12-point buck weighing 232 pounds; also Mike Couturier, a 10-point buck weighing 220 pounds. Those are nice size bucks!

Sad this week

Sympathy and sad Mount View High School lost two people recently. Hazel Fuller, a senior, passed away from a car accident. Also Julie Clark, class of 2020,  passed away same day. Please folks, buckle up and slow down. Thinking of the families and friends of these two.

Belated birthday for this veteran as well

Bert Skinner, World War II veteran, recently celebrated his 98th birthday. Cards can still be mailed to Bert Skinner, 143 Back Searsport Road, Belfast, ME 04915. I used to pick strawberries for him at his farm as a kid back in the ’50s. That was a fun job, as I probably ate as many as I picked for him. I remember going on the bus to pick.
