Hello All,

I have heard more work has been done on our local roads with tarring, etc. That was good news. They sure needed the work done.

Today’s weather

As I type this up, it is sleeting at times, dark clouds, and the sun in and out. The temp is 40 degrees though. Just one of many days ahead, hoping the temp stays warm. I am sure the deer hunters want a little snow on the ground. Good luck to them out hunting.

Birthday

Happy birthday to Gwen Kinney, she had an 85th birthday recently.

Sympathy

I was sorry to learn of the passing of Priscilla Bailey, Russell Lord, Maxine Hoxie Flanders, and Mary Ann Gerry. Passing by Maxine’s home recently I wondered about her, as I had stopped in the past to visit. And one day I went on Google to search and found out that an old family friend, Arthur Kwiatkowski, “Ski,” had passed back in 2008. He used to hunt here in Maine, and his home was in Massachusetts. Amazing what I find through Google search.

I also looked for George Grant Jr. who was a Unity college student. He and friends used to come into Max Restaurant and I waited on them. What a bunch of nice kids they were. He passed away two years ago. Kate Hillman nicknamed him “Sweet Pea” and  had a lot of fun joking with them. The old days were fun.

Northport Redemption

Lisa Dunn is back at it since her stroke and doing well a year later. If you mention you saw her post on Facebook, she will pay you 6 cents on the returnables. Great job, Lisa!

Deer hunter

Maddy Knowlton got her first deer, a 9-pt. buck weighing 130 lbs. Way to go, girl! Happy hunting to all out there.

Happy blessed Thanksgiving Day to all!!

Remember the craft fairs coming up soon.

Until next time,

Stay warm and be safe out there.  Feels like Old Man Winter is here.
