FRANKFORT — Driver fatigue was the cause of a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon, police say.

Maine State Police say Taran Evans-Moran, 23, of Veazie, was traveling south on North Searsport Road Dec. 13 at around 1 p.m. near the Swanville Road intersection when he went off the road to the left and struck a utility pole.

Moran was not trapped or injured in the crash, but wires came down and crews from Central Maine Power Co. shortly afterward to replace the pole.

West Frankfort Fire Department answered the call, along with Maine State Police personnel, and a flatbed from Searsport Automotive arrived to haul Moran’s minivan away.
