There is sand available for Thorndike residents, but some people are abusing this. Please abide by the rules and there will be enough for all who need it.

Dog licenses are are due by the last day of January. Please pay by then, or they will cost much more.

If you do not have your homestead exemption application turned in, please do so ASAP. Applications may be picked up at the Town Office.

Do not forget to take your returnables to the Depot Bottle Redemption. During the month of January they will pay 6 cents per container to the Thorndike Parks & Rec for the Marie Gloh Park Fund.

I hope all Thorndike residents are fully recovered and home at this writing. We are predicted to get some very cold temperatures, so please take all necessary precautions to keep yourself and your family warm and safe.

Have a good week and do your exercising inside when it is extremely cold.

Dylan Thomas is quoted as saying, “When one burns one’s bridges, what a very nice fire it makes.”
