FRANKFORT — Wentworth Family Corner Store in the center of town was robbed Sunday evening by a person wearing a mask, who presented a demand note.

According to Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arriving on the scene Jan. 16 were unable to locate the suspect, who is described as being around 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. 

A dispatch call around 5:20 p.m. Sunday described the robbery suspect as wearing a black mask, green knitted beanie hat, black hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants with the insignia N1.

The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after presenting a demand note, police said.  No one was injured in the robbery.

The case remains under investigation, led by Detective Sgt. Merl Reed of the Sheriff’s Office.
