THOMASTON — Cynthia Littlefield of Thomaston died peacefully in her home on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, after a lovely week spent with family and her loving partner, Peter Gardner.

Cynthia was born on Sept. 11, 1952, in Hollywood, Fla., and grew up in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass. She raised her daughter, Jamie Andalis, in Beverly Farms and later settled in Midcoast Maine. Cynthia loved nothing more than hiking through the woods and enjoying the Maine coast.

Her fierce intelligence and ability to be deeply empathetic led her to a long, fulfilling, career as a home health care nurse with Kno-Wal-Lin in Rockland. As a nurse, she contributed tremendously to a community that she loved. When Cynthia wasn’t working, she was enjoying a good book and watching the birds in her backyard.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Alex Andalis of San Carlos, Calif.; a granddaughter, Morgan Andalis; and partner, Peter Gardner.

Funeral services will be private per Cynthia’s request. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine or the New Hope for Women in Rockland.  Memories and condolences may be shared at directcremationofmaine@gmail.com.
