LIMESTONE — Frederick J. Walton, born Dec. 26, 1960, passed away at the age of 61 at his home Feb. 3, 2022.

Fred worked as a chief boiler operator most of his working career. In earlier times, he played guitar and sang in a band for many years, but his true love was working on cars and motorcycles in which he raced under the name Walton Racing.

Fred was a beloved son, brother, father and Papa. Ty-Ann and Keira held a very special place in Fred’s heart, as they were his world. Fred will be missed by many.

Fred was preceeded in death by his father, Reule “Blaque” Walton; brother Frank “Frank man” Sweetland; and former wife and close friend Beverly.

Fred is survived by his mother, Patricia, and stepfather Byron Sweetland; stepmother Debbie Walton; sister Tamiko and her husband, Robert Philbrick; brother Dallas and his wife, Sabrina Walton; sister Laura-Donn and husband Joe Lynch; stepdaughters Marcia and her husband, Willis Newbert, Michelle and her husband, Mark Skinner; grandchildren Ty-Ann, Frederick, Bryce, Barrett and Colton; and great-grandchildren Kiera, Sophia, Bryson, Riley and Abigail; and many nieces and nephews; as well as his best friend, Jake.

A celebration of life will be held in May, followed by burial of his ashes at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Searsport alongside Beverly.
