BELFAST — Two people were taken to the hospital Friday following a three-vehicle crash that occurred at about noon on Waterville Road. According to a statement from Belfast Police, their injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening.

Police said the three vehicles “sustained significant damage” in the crash, which, according to Waldo County Dispatch, occurred in the vicinity of 60 Waterville Road (Route 137), which is just west of Doak’s Road.

According to the statement, “No charges have been filed and the reason for the crash remains under investigation.”

Belfast Ambulance, Belfast Fire Department, Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and State Police assisted Belfast Police at the scene.

As of 11:20 a.m. Monday, March 7, no further details were available.
