She was born in Bangor Nov. 17, 1948, to Glendon (Pup) F. and Verlie (Moss) Bowden. She loved sewing Holly’s clothes and knitting, most recently donating hats she would make for the infants at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast. Glenda went on to work at MBNA/Bank of America until she retired in 2009.

She loved watching NASCAR races and discussing the events of the races on the phone with her best friend, Linda Schwartz. Her passion was spending time with and talking to Abbie-Jo.

She was predeceased by both parents. Glenda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Holly-Jo and John Ward, of Belmont; granddaughter Abbie-Jo (A.J.) Ward of Dover, Pa.; brother and sister-in-law Chris and Ellen Bowden of Cumberland; nephews and nieces Adam and Lindsay Bowden, Eric and Amanda Bowden, Mandy and Chris Alexson, Samantha and Tom Martin, a very special nephew, Roger Doyon, of Winterport, her special niece, Stacy (Doodah) Brown, of Winterport, who helped make sure her auntie was as comfortable as possible in her last few hours; many great-nieces and -nephews; and her dear friend Linda of Indiana.
