Save the date

On Saturday, April 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. the Gesner Park and Monroe Recreation Committee are hosting a community egg hunt at Gesner Park in Monroe. The egg hunt will begin at 10 a.m. sharp, with a separate space for those ages 4 and under to “hunt” in! Ages 5-12 will be finding eggs hidden throughout the remainder of the park. Bring a basket or bag to collect your eggs, and hang around for bubbles, chalk art, complimentary refreshments and a chance to snap a photograph with the Easter Bunny!

Further ahead, on May 14, from 7 to 10 p.m., a community wide “Barn Dance” will be held at Rosemoore Farm in Monroe. Music, photo booth and snacks will be on site. All proceeds from this event will go toward the purchase of the new playground for Gesner Park.

If you would like more information now about either of these events, email gesnerparkproject@gmail.com or call 592-0336.

Have a great week!
