CAMDEN — Coastal Mountains Nature Program presents Pruning Plants for Wildlife and An Arborist’s Approach to the Browntail Moth Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon at the McLellan-Poor Preserve in Northport. The popular Coastal Mountains Nature Program is a series of monthly naturalist-led walks and talks exploring the natural history of Midcoast Maine.

On the first part of this walk, local arborist Doug Johnson, owner of Johnson’s Arboriculture — Treekeepers LLC will demonstrate pruning methods that enhance trees and shrubs for wildlife. In the second hour he will show examples of Browntail Moth winter webs and discuss options that homeowners have for managing this pest on their property.
