Rexford Wilson, 91, died peacefully at home in Searsmont on April 3rd. He spent a lifetime increasing the understanding of, and safety around, fire. His contributions to fire safety, the most famous of which is “Stop, Drop and Roll,” have saved many lives and were recognized by his receipt of the Standards Medal from the National Fire Protection Association. However, it is his profound gratitude for living, an unfailingly positive outlook and a glorious joie de vivre that will be remembered most by his four children and four grandchildren.
