Mount View Middle School recently organized a fundraiser for its eighth-grade class in the form of a basket raffle. Students were given raffle tickets and encouraged to sell them to friends or relatives. Many baskets were arranged for the raffle including the “Taste of Asia” basket put together by seventh-grade science teacher Mr. Page. Tickets were drawn on Friday, April 1st, with my grandmother being fortunate enough to win the “Garden Basket.” Overall the fundraiser was a great success earning close to four thousand dollars for the eighth-grade’s end of year rafting trip. Thank you to all who donated items or purchased raffle tickets.
