It’s been a little dreary lately; it’s amazing how much more energy I have when the sun is out.

Owen the opossum came for a dinner of spaghetti. For dessert he had a piece of coconut cake. I’m still hoping that he is actually a she and will have little babies riding on its back.

Remember before interring your loved one in any of Unity’s cemeteries, you need to get a permit from the Town Office so that we can maintain accurate records. Also, please review the cemetery ordinance before having any stone placed.

Swag needed! We’re running low on “welcome packets” for new residents at the Town Office. If you have a business and would like to let our new citizens know about you, we are accepting business cards, coupons, menus, token gifts (e.g., pens, key chains). We also include maps, recycling info, town contacts, a complimentary trash sticker, etc. Whenever we meet a new neighbor, they are delighted to receive these!

There will be a PFAS “town hall” on May 7. More details to follow as the time and place are firmed up.

On Saturday, April 30, there will be an Earth Day celebration hosted by the Ecology Learning Center at Triplet Park located on Wood Lane in Unity: 11 a.m. lunch for volunteers, noon-3 p.m. service projects, 3-5 p.m. Earth Day Fair, 5 p.m. community potluck picnic, and at 7 p.m., a community concert.
