Hello Monroe!

The Egg Hunt April 16 at Gesner Park in Monroe was a great success. Over 120 adults and children gathered to find eggs (around 600 eggs were gathered in just 6 minutes!), enjoy hot coffee and warm baked goods, run through a bubble machine, get fancy with face paint and high-five the Easter Bunny. Thank you to all who contributed to making this event possible and FUN! More community events are being planned for this summer at the park. Stay tuned!

Note from local candidate

Heather “Betsy” Garrold of Knox has announced her candidacy as a Green Independent for the new House of Representatives District 38 seat. Running as a Clean Elections candidate, she is busy right now gathering qualifying contributions. She is also enjoying attending town meetings in the district to hear the concerns of people in the nine towns she hopes to represent in the Legislature.
