FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington celebrated a festive, in-person  commencement ceremony Saturday, May 7, for the class of 2022. More than 310 of the 350-plus bachelor’s and master’s degree graduates marched to the traditional sounds of bagpipes at the open-air celebration. UMF President Edward Serna, UMF faculty, administrators, dignitaries and families gave the graduates a rousing round of applause.

Among the graduates were eight from Waldo County and Bucksport: Bethany Tripp of Brooks, B.A., biology, magna cum laude; Seth Laplant of Bucksport, M.S., educational leadership; Hannah Moody of Burnham, M.S., special education; JoAnna Greenwood of Lincolnville, M.S., special education; Jordan Roux of Thorndike, B.A., psychology; Alexis Ramee of Troy, B.A., visual arts; Lauren Faloon of Unity, B.S., early childhood education, magna cum laude; and Hailee Macomber of Winterport, B.S., early childhood education.
