ELLSWORTH — Searsport track-and-field athletes increased their participation numbers to 10 on Friday, May 6 in a high school reglar-season meet hosted by the Eagles.

The Vikings experienced plenty of solid efforts, none better than first place from Ellis Braga in the pole vault.

The girls team scores were: Ellsworth 218, George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill 12, Washington Academy of East Machias 85, Bangor Christian 26 and Searsport 4.

The boys team scores: were Ellsworth 212, Washington Academy 146, George Stevens Academy 115, Bangor Christian 57, Searsport 16 and Blue Hill Harbor 10.

The Viking girls individual results were:

100 meters — 11, Emma Gaecklein, 15.22.

200 meters — 8, Emma Gaecklein, 32.69.

Discus — 4, Brianna Fairbrother, 58-3; and 8, Jayde Stone, 40-5.

Javelin — 6, Jayde Stone, 54-1; 9, Brianna Fairbrother, 44-7; and 10, Teakin Nickerson, 41-8.

The Viking boys individual results were:

Pole vault — 1, Ellis Braga, 9-6; and 2, Thomas Bradley, 9-0.

Long jump — 16, Ian Cottrell, 11-11.

Shot put — 12, Laithe Allen, 28-3.5.

Discus — 14, Laithe Allen, 75-0; and 16, Colby Treat, 72-2.

Javelin — 12, Laithe Allen, 87-8; and 18, Ian Cottrell, 75-1.
