Spaghetti dinner successful
The Palermo Republican Committee hosted its annual spaghetti dinner at the American Legion Post 163 on May 7. The dinner included homemade spaghetti sauces, salads, Italian bread and homemade desserts. The dinner raised over $500, which will go to Republican candidates.
The committee was pleased to have 45 people attend and honored to have six Republican candidates as guest speakers: Katrina Smith of Palermo for House Dist. 62, Jen Tuminaro of China for Dist. 62, Rep. MaryAnne Kinney of Knox for Senate Dist. 11, Todd Boisvert of Searsport for Waldo County sheriff, Liz Caruso of Caratunk for U.S. congressional Dist. 2, and former Rep. Bruce Poliquin of Orrington for congressional Dist. 2.
The candidates informed attendees about upcoming election issues and engaged with the audience. There were many questions and much laughter. Don’t forget to vote in the Primary June 14!
