Greetings, Brooks. I hope this finds you well or recovering!

The rabies clinic sponsored by the Waldo County Humane Society was well-attended with 134 dogs and cats getting their rabies vaccinations. Special thanks to the Waldo County Humane Society Vvolunteers and Little River Veterinary Hospital crew — Chris, Sarah and Owen Tomalty! We appreciate all you do.

Local ACOs are organizing another low-cost spay/neuter clinic for cats on May 25 and 26 at the Brooks Fire House. The last one was a huge success with almost 100 cats spayed/neutered. We are also looking to a low-cost spay/neuter clinic that includes dogs. If you are interested in having your pet spayed or neutered, please contact the Brooks Town Office at 722-3254.

Congratulations to Austin, Brooke and James Higgins on the birth of Ryan Bradley this week! Congratulations also to grandparents Brad and Coleen Putnam and Jason and Irene Raven.

The Marsh River Theater is gearing up for the season. The Mount View Chamber Singers will be performing on Friday, May 20, at 7 p.m. Please come out and support them!

It’s that time — many events are coming up, so please remember to share yours so that we can include it in the column.

Until next time — peace.
