I hope everyone had a nice Mother’s Day, as I could not ask for more. Dustin was really quick to jump in and pay for my “do” at Hair Flair. He then said “Happy Mother’s Day, Granny. Lisa and Lori came over with flowers, knowing they are one of my favorite things. Lori also brought over a huge bag of fiddleheads, which I also love. Thank you all.

What beautiful weather we have been having! When we have some rainy days, I will clean house. I do not feel the need when it is this nice.

American Legion Post 50 is looking for parade participants for the Memorial Day Parade in Unity on Monday, May 30. The line-up is at the Unity Town Office. Any questions, please call Randall at 323-3412.

Here are some reminders from Sullivan’s Waste: All trash must be bagged and tied, no loose trash even if it is in a container, no bag may weigh over 40 pounds and all cardboard must be broken down and bundled. No loose cardboard will be taken. Please, do not use cardboard boxes for trash containers as rain breaks down the cardboard. Condolences are being sent out to the families and friends of Ann Mitchell, Una Plumley and Guy “Bobby” Porter Jr. Your uniqueness will be sadly missed by all who knew you. Rest in peace.

My Sister & I Gift Shop is now open for the season at 29 Depot St., Thorndike Village. They are open Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Many new items have been added. They also have one-of-a-kind memorial arrangements that are just beautiful. Stop in and browse and discover something that you just have to have.

A very happy belated birthday to Sonny Wingate. He really celebrated turning “39” one more time.
