ROCKLAND — A 46-year-old Rockland man was arrested Monday afternoon, accused of driving a car stolen in Rockland and being involved in a crash with the vehicle in Belfast.
Rockland police received a report Monday, May 23 of a vehicle stolen from Tillson Avenue. Police quickly identified the suspect and issued an alert on Facebook, as well as notifying local, county, and state law enforcement.
The stolen vehicle was involved in an accident in Belfast before being located and stopped by Hampden Police Department, according to Rockland police. Christopher Beaulieu was arrested by Hampden Police on several charges. Beaulieu faces charges in Waldo County in addition to the theft charge in Rockland.
