SEARSPORT — Carver Memorial Library, 12 Union St., is exhibiting art from Searsport school students as the first show in the new downstairs hall gallery. Thanks to the work of a dedicated volunteer, the hallway now has a fresh coat of paint, picture molding, frames and hanging hardware.

Students from Searsport Elementary, Middle and High School contributed artwork to the show. Painting on canvas, watercolors, and drawing are all represented. The students’ art will be displayed through the end of May.

The library plans to host more shows in the future. The hall gallery is open during regular library hours. For more information, call 548-2303 or email staff@carverlibrary.org.
