Palermo is now in District 62 along with the Kennebec County towns of China and Windsor and the Lincoln County town of Somerville. We’re in the interesting position of having two of the three state Legislature hopefuls for our district’s state House seat living in our town: Republican Katrina J. Smith and Democrat Pamela J. Swift.

Katrina is running against Jennifer V. Tuminaro of China in the June primary for the GOP nomination. Pamela is unopposed on the Democratic ballot for the June 14 primary and will face either Katrina or Jennifer in the Nov. 8 general election.

The Town Office will be closed on Primary Day.
