Perry graduates from James Madison, commissioned as 2nd lieutenant

FAIRFAX, Va. — Joelle Anne Perry of Fairfax, Virginia, recently graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She made the President’s List and graduated with honors. She also was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.

Joelle is the daughter of retired Col. Troy and Paula Perry of Fairfax, granddaughter of David and Bobbie Perry of Belfast, and granddaughter of Joyce Lindelof of Swanville.

On May 14, her father gave Perry the commissioning oath of office and her mother and brother Bryan pinned her new second lieutenant bars. Perry will attend the Army’s Basic Officer Leadership Course in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, later this summer and will then learn her first duty assignment as an Army nurse.

Kayla Hubbard earns math degree from Grove City College

GROVE CITY, Pa. — Kayla Hubbard of Palermo has graduated from Grove CIty College with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.

Grace Redwine graduates from Lasell University

NEWTON, Mass. — Grace Redwine of Freedom graduated magna cum laude from Lasell University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion and retail merchandising.

Shortly before graduation, Redwine was part of Lasell University’s School of Fashion annual RUNWAY production, serving as one of RUNWAY’s scene managers and branding managers. The event  featured 70 student designers and 150 behind-the-scenes personnel. This marked the first year since 2019 that RUNWAY was held fully in-person, though the show was also made available virtually through a livestream.

Redwine also was named to the Lasell dean’s list for spring semester.

Kellie Scott makes dean’s list at Wilkes University

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Kellie Scott of Northport was named to the dean’s list at Wilkes University for the spring semester. To be named to the dean’s list, students must obtain a minimum 3.5 GPA and carry at least 12 credits.

Cassidy Baker named to spring dean’s list

NEWTON, Mass. — Cassidy Baker of Swanville has made the Lasell University dean’s list in recognition of her spring academic performance. To be named to the dean’s list, Lasell students must complete at least 12 credits and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.
