BELFAST — The Sheriff’s Office and Waldo County TRIAD got together recently to sponsor Senior Appreciation Day at Tarratine Hall in Belfast.

About 20 vendors set up on the site, offering a wide range of services for seniors, and volunteers from Bank of America were on hand to help prepare and serve lunch at the June 2 event. A crew from the

Maine Coastal Regional Reentry Center assisted with cooking and serving the meal, and participants joined in a session of bingo.

Sheriff Jeff Trafton, Chief deputy Jason Trundy, Sgt. Nick Oettinger, Cpl. Randy Fox and Belfast Police Chief Bob Cormier joined with the volunteers to manage the enjoyable and educational event for local seniors.
