I must apologize for a mistake I made on Tucker Boynton’s Road To Recovery. It will be held at the Bucksport High School this Friday night 5 p.m. Pretty sure that most people will know the difference — sure hope it will have a good turnout. I cannot go as it is hard for me to get around, especially in a crowd. Prayers have been said for his recovery.

The American Legion of Sandy Point will have its huge yard sale Aug. 6 and 7, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. This is usually where I get my puzzles, they have many bargains, lobster rolls, drinks and a chance to see old friends. See you there, I hope.

All the work has been done on the Community Building required by our insurance company and hope that will stop the cancellation of our insurance. I sent out the pictures today, so now we wait. We are lucky to have the people that will help us out. Thanks to Boynton and Sons Constuction for digging out and filling the pot holes and cracks by the building and Skip McCormick for the great job of building the rails and hand rail on the ramp and Francis for cutting down the leaning tree.

Meet with your fellow Dems, candidates and talk how to make sure that they win in November. It will be held Wednesday, July 6, 6 p.m. in the Prospect Community Center, 959 Bangor Road.

The next Comprehensive Plan meeting will be July 6, 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Prospect Community Dining Room. If you would like to help, you will be welcome. They need all help they can get.

The July Historical Society meeting will be Sunday, July 10, at 2 p.m. in the dining room. Plans will be made for the town picnic and other business. Come join us and learn more about your town.

The Historical Building will be open Sunday, July 17, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., for people to visit and see how the building has been remodeled. Not done yet but a lot has been done. Jack Emack and I will be the host and hostess.

Snow showers in June? Remember this is Maine, but I don’t like hearing the furnace come on in the middle of the night; bound to get warm soon. Have seen some beautiful gardens starting to grow. Love the tomatoes but restricted to them.

The town of Searsport will be having Fireworks Saturday, July 2, down at the Mosman Park. Just hope the weather will be good. After they’re over, there always is a stream of cars going through town.

Another old belief of the farmers and others: The moon not only tells us what stage we are in, starting with the new moon to the full moon, but also if it will be a wet month or a dry month. If the crescent moon is tipped as though it cannot hold water and is spilling it out (rain), then it will be a wet month, but if it rights itself, like a pail that can hold water, it will be a dry month.

We have new people moving into town plus there are many places for sale and many more being built. Welcome to town, folks.

See you next week.
