SEARSPORT — Indie folk pop singer/songwriter Cassie Nobel kicks off her summer U.S. concert tour at Searsport Shores Campground, 216 West Main St., Tuesday, July 5, at 7 p.m. on the main stage.

Finding beauty in madness and trying to find the words to share it, Nobel’s style is mellow, heavy with emotion, and contains copious amounts of soul and honesty. The music she creates feels calm and surreal, like a crackling fire in the middle of nowhere.

Donations of $5 to $12 are appreciated. Bring a chair, a blanket or sit on one of the campground benches for the show. WBFY will be on hand for this live performance.

The Seacoast Community String Orchestra plays every Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Music jam at Wednesday Night at the Shores is always 5 to 7 p.m., and continues though September. Musicians build community by playing live music together. The public is welcome to these free weekly music events. Vending your own creations is free during jam nights.
