SEARSPORT — The Penobscot Valley Conference unveiled its all-conference and all-academic selections for the 2022 high school spring sports seasons as a bevy of student-athletes from Searsport District High School were honored for their efforts on the diamond, track, field and in the classroom.
Viking softball — fresh off its second straight state Class D title — had four players honored, including league Class D player of the year Ana Lang, while Viking baseball had five players honored.
The Searsport track-and-field team had one athlete selected, Ellis Braga, who won the state Class C pole vault title.
The following is a breakdown of SDHS all-conference selections:
Softball
First team — Searsport’s Ana Lang.
Second team — Searsport’s Hunter Kronholm and Jordan Greeley.
Third team — Searsport’s Kyla Perkins.
Player of the year — Searsport’s Ana Lang.
Baseball
First team — Searsport’s Josh Wright and Cole Ellis.
Second team — Searsport’s Drew Bagley.
Third team — Searsport’s Sam Cahill and Chase Brassbridge.
Boys track and field (small school)
First team — Searsport’s Ellis Braga.
