BELFAST — Photographer, educator and author Jim Kosinski recently released “Maine Coast Outings on Penobscot Bay: For All Ages & Abilities,” a new and definitive guide to 25 day trips around Maine’s beautiful Penobscot Bay that includes beaches, lakes, harbors, parks, gardens, woodlands and then some.

This guidebook addresses the needs of those who are mobility impaired and of families with small children to look after. If you’re driving, cycling, walking, birding, boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, taking pictures or just like to be outdoors in nature these pages will keep your bearings true.

Kosinski has been teaching photography, math and science for decades to students from elementary through high school, college, the workplace and senior college. His photos have been published over the years in print and digital forms, winning an award or two along the way. Having widely explored the waterways and wildlands of the Northeast since the early 1960s, he is delighted to share his enthusiasm for seeing with a camera and spending healthful time in nature. Kosinski and his family live in the city of Belfast, at the top of Penobscot Bay.
