FRANKFORT — The Wentworth Family Corner Store closed its doors late last month, Operations Manager Amanda Wentworth confirmed in a July 6 email. The Wentworths opened the convenience story in the center of Frankfort on Route 1 in June 2019.
Wentworth did not go into detail about why the store closed but thanked the community for its support over the years. She expressed gratitude toward the family-owned chain’s customers and employees.
The Wentworth family owns several grocery and convenience stores around Waldo County. Wentworth confirmed that all its other stores remain open.
