Greetings, Brooks. I hope everyone had an enjoyable Fourth of July 4 weekend — chicken barbecue, ice cream, fireworks and a great parade. Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make these events happen.

The Marsh River Theater presents the “Eddy Mulligan Show.” This is our variety show, which runs for two action packed nights, July 15 and 16, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the theater. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors. The show features an eclectic mix of entertainment and showcases guitar, strings, accordion, bagpipe, vocal selections and more! Did you know that we have so much local talent? Feel free to contact me for more information and I hope to see you there.

If you were unaware, I need to let you know that there was an attempted break-in at the Brooks Historical Society. The police were called and, fortunately, the attempt failed. It seems that there are  still some individuals who (and I borrow from TC of the Bangor Police Department here) just can’t keep their hands to themselves and leave other people’s things alone. Please make sure your property and possessions are secured.

Until next time … peace.
