BELFAST — “The Changing Industrial Waterfront: 1980-1990” is the topic for the Belfast Historical Society meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 25, in the Abbott Room at the Belfast Free Library.
Megan Pinette, Historical Society president, will present the changes to the Belfast harbor and waterfront during the decade that saw the end of the poultry industry.
One of the major changes that helped spur the revitalization of the downtown was the removal of the Main Street grain storage mill that had served the industry. Visit the website BelfastMuseum.org and follow the museum on Facebook to learn more about the program schedule.
