SEARSPORT — Queen of the West performs on center stage at Searsport Shores Ocean Campground, 216 W. Main St., Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 3 and 4.

Wednesday evening, the award-winning fiddling sisters will lead the weekly Community Open Jam Session from 5 to 7 p.m. On Thursday night, Queen of the West performs a concert on the outdoor stage starting at 5 p.m.

Both events are open to the public. A $5/person donation will be used to support the Makers Guild/Carver Memorial Instrument Lending Library.

Queen of the West is a Boston-based group of fiddling sisters Camille, Josephine and Lillian Arnold Mages. The sisters compete around the country in their individual age groups playing bluegrass and old time music with a Texas flair. These award-winning sisters have played at the State of Tennessee Old Time Fiddler’s Championships, the Red Bridge Fiddle Festival, the National Old Time Fiddlers Contest and Festival, and Campfire at Club Passim to name a few.

Searsport Shores holds weekly community jams that are always free and open to the community. Mondays features the Sea Strings Fiddle Orchestra and Wednesdays are open acoustic jam night, always from 5 to 7 p.m.
