SEARSMONT — Still piping with steam after its debut CD release party the end of last month, The Hot Suppers band is bringing an energetic show to Searsmont Saturday, Aug. 20, at 4 p.m. Part of the summer-long Live Outside the Library concert series, this special event is scheduled to take place outdoors on the Searsmont Community Center lawn, 37 Main St. South, so bring a camp chair and a hat. The concert will be moved into the Community Hall in the event of inclement weather.

The Hot Suppers is composed entirely of musicians who call Waldo County home. They meld captivating original music with their favorite rock, blues, old country and Americana tunes for a sound that is dynamic, harmonic, rhythmic and electric. Each member of the band lends strong lead and harmony vocals to the mix. Attendees will hear Annadeene Fowler with Russ and Travis Lloyd on guitars, Tom Fowler on mandolin and baritone sax, Jeff Densmore lays a steady beat on an assortment of percussion, and Sean Ociepka will hold the groove on bass while John Pranio ices the cake with country fiddle and bluesy harmonica.

The concert is presented free to the public through the generous funding of the Friends of Searsmont Library and fundraising by the library’s Board of Trustees.
