WALDO — Harold Peter “Pete” Watt passed away on July 29, 2022, at Sandy River Center in Farmington. He was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Belfast, the son of Harold and Shirley Watt.

Pete married Minnie Baughman on June 9, 1960. They raised four children. A mechanic, Pete worked for several of the dealerships in and around Belfast before he became self-employed at Pete’s Garage in Waldo. His hobbies were fishing, camping, and gardening. He also loved NASCAR racing.

Pete is survived by his brother, Ronald Watt; four children, Brenda Ward and her husband Allen, Peter Watt and his wife Tammy, David Watt and Destiny Watt; five grandchildren, Thomas Ward and his wife Kelley, Amanda Burlingham and her husband Jeremy, Micheal Watt, Maddie Watt and Evan Watt; and five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Makayla, Liam, Lila and Lillianna.

Pete was predeceased by his parents and his wife Minnie Watt.

A celebration of life will be held at his home, 466 Moosehead Trail, Waldo, on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 2 p.m.
