Habitat for Humanity of Waldo County is committed to the belief that everyone deserves safe, decent, and efficient housing on terms they can afford. The organization has built and sold five homes in Waldo County over the past 12 years.

Waldo Habitat’s current project is constructing a ReStore on land it purchased on Route 3. “With our own ReStore facility, built and staffed with the help of volunteers, we will have a resource providing funds to construct a home every year,” habitat board member Toni Mailloux said in a press release.

“The ReStore will also provide affordable home improvement products, appliances and furnishings, along with saving tons of debris from our transfer stations by selling items that might otherwise have been discarded.”
