CASTLETON, Vt. — Sophia Buckley-Clement of Lincolnville was recently named to the Castleton University president’s list for the spring semester. To qualify for this highest academic honor, students must maintain a semester GPA of 4.0.

Keller earns president’s list honors at Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va. — Kalina Keller of Knox is one of 438 students who made the spring president’s list at Shenandoah University. To qualify, students must earn a semester GPA of 3.90 or higher.

PLYMOUTH, N.H. — Liana Gobin of Belfast, a nursing major, has been named to the Plymouth State University president’s list for the spring semester. To be named to the president’s list, a student must achieve a GPA of 3.7 or better.

UMPI releases dean’s list for spring semester

PRESQUE ISLE — Four full-time and two part-time students from Waldo County have achieved academic honors at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

Named to the dean’s list were full-time students Emma Richards of Morrill, Taylor J. Shute of Palermo, Zack Curtis of Searsmont, and Matthew Raymond Goodrich of Winterport.

Named to the part-time recognition list were Tracey Marie Wuori of Islesboro and Kurt M. Anderson of Winterport.

Ireland awarded Maine Water scholarship

SACO — Rebekah Ireland of Bucksport is one of 15 students from the towns served by Maine Water to win an academic scholarship for the upcoming college year. Students who will be attending two- or four-year college programs in the fall were selected through their high school guidance offices and awarded grants of $500 each.

Fishman earns dean’s list honors 

BOSTON, Mass. — Ella Fishman of Lincolnville was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Emerson College.

The requirement to make dean’s list is a GPA of 3.7 or higher for that semester. Fishman is majoring in creative writing toward a BFA degree and is a member of the class of 2024.

Two area students make Champlain dean’s list

BURLINGTON, Vt. —  Colt Magri of Lincolnville and Isobel Kelly of Waldo have been named to the Champlain College dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester.

To be named to the Champlain College dean’s list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or high.

Magri also graduated from Champlain College with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and innovation.

Local residents named to Clark dean’s list

WORCESTER, Mass. — Andrew H. McBride of Searsmont and Caleb J. Sacks of Palermo were named to Clark University’s spring 2022 dean’s list, both of them with first honors. Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors.

Burnham woman wins nonfiction writing award at Emerson

BOSTON, Mass. — Allison Hughes of Burnham was honored with an award in the nonfiction category for Senior Writing Awards at Emerson College as a distinction winner for her essay, “Discrete Grief.”

A member of the class of 2022, Hughes also graduated from Emerson College with a BFA degree in creative writing.

Wood named to St. Lawrence dean’s list

CANTON, N.Y. — Kasey Wood of Lincolnville has been named to St. Lawrence University’s dean’s list.

A graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School, Wood is a member of the class of 2024 and is majoring in data science. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Northport woman makes dean’s list at RIT
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Audrey Lagerbom of Northport was named to the dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the spring 2022 semester. Lagerbom is in the biomedical sciences program.

Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for dean’s list if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.40.

UMaine at Machias announces spring dean’s list

MACHIAS — The University of Maine at Machias recognized 118 students for achieving Dean’s List honors in the spring 2022 semester.

Among them are Kam Landry of Verona Island, Ellen Curtis of Brooks and Stacey Fowler of Lincolnville.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a 3.30 or higher semester GPA.

Two area students graduate from Emmanuel College

BOSTON — Alexia Sweet of Belfast and Abigail Terry of Prospect graduated from Emmanuel College during its spring commencement ceremonies.

Sweet received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a concentration in health sciences.

Terry received a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology and criminal justice.

Belfast student makes UNH dean’s list 

DURHAM, N.H. — Logan McHaney of Belfast has been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for earning honors for the spring semester. McHaney is majoring in engineering physics.
